The pump no longer shuts off, it just keeps running with a short break after about 20 seconds then resumes.Obviously, I can't recommend a sump pump that fails so quickly. After digging out the instructions, they do state that you need to keep the surface of the Switch Genius water sensor clean and that a dirty sensor could cause what happened to mine.
